CAD & Product Development
From modifications and reverse engineering to complete bespoke product development.
Engineering + low-volume manufacturing
EJCS designs and manufactures bespoke components, production fixtures, protective packaging and low-volume parts for UK businesses.
What we do
Additive manufacturing is a process. Solving the engineering problem is the service.
EJCS works with manufacturers and engineering teams to develop practical solutions where conventional production may be too slow, expensive or inflexible. Projects can begin from existing CAD, drawings, samples or simply a requirement that needs solving.
From modifications and reverse engineering to complete bespoke product development.
Functional production components without the cost and commitment of conventional tooling.
Purpose-designed tooling for assembly, inspection, handling and production.
Custom trays, nests, holders and transport solutions for delicate and high-value components.
Have a problem that doesn’t fit neatly into a category? That’s often where we’re most useful.
Flagship project
Bespoke protective packaging for a UK optical manufacturer
A specialist optical manufacturer required repeat protective packaging for high-value components. Their existing solution carried a lead time of approximately eight weeks and significant component cost. EJCS developed an additive-manufactured alternative and established repeat in-house production.
Repeat production
Design to manufacture
We can work from technical drawings, CAD, samples or existing components to develop and manufacture a practical solution.
In-house capability
EJCS combines in-house design capability with a multi-machine additive manufacturing fleet, allowing projects to move quickly from development into repeat manufacture.
SolidWorks-based design and development from concept through production-ready geometry.
Multi-machine production capacity for prototypes, functional parts and repeat batches.
High-detail resin printing for applications requiring finer features and surface definition.
Material and process selection based on strength, temperature, flexibility, environment and application.
Selected work
Real components, real production and real commercial applications. No stock imagery.
Why EJCS
EJCS is deliberately hands-on. Customers work directly with the person developing and manufacturing their solution, without layers of sales and account management between the problem and the answer.
Speak directly to the person designing your parts.
Move from design change to physical component quickly.
Make lower production volumes commercially practical.
Move successful development work into ongoing or call-off production.
How it works
Send a CAD file, drawing, sample or description of the requirement.
Review the application and design or refine the solution.
Prototype, test and make any necessary adjustments.
Produce the required components using the appropriate process and material.
Where required, move into repeat batch or call-off supply.

Product development
EJCS supports the development and manufacture of additive-manufactured lighting components and shade concepts, combining technical problem-solving with materials, form and commercial presentation.
